TEHRAN (NIORDC) __ Hashem Namvar at the unveiling ceremony of the documents for completing the furnace oil value chain using the local knowledge of the Oil Industry Research Institute in Bandar Abbas refinery said: following the implementation of the furnace oil value chain project in Bandar Abbas refinery with local technical knowledge, Iran will be self-sufficient in industrial coke production.
He continued: "But in the continuation of internal studies and basic design was implemented, thus, during three stages of testing and testing in the Petroleum Research Institute, the quality of coke produced was confirmed."
According to Namvar, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Oil and Silence two years ago on coking, which is consumed by the aluminum industry.
He emphasized: this project will be provided by domestic banking consortia and will be operational in the next 4 years.
The CEO of Bandar Abbas Refinery, noting that for the first time we have used the technical knowledge of the Petroleum Industry Research Institute, said: "This project has been done 100% by local experts to turn the threat of sanctions into an opportunity."
In the end, he stated: while meeting the needs of the domestic market, there is a surplus capacity and possibility of production, followed by the export of coke in the country.
