The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC):The national plan to improve the quality of heavy petroleum products in terms of environment and increase added value is very important.

TEHRAN (NIORDC) __ Jalil Salari in the unveiling ceremony of the documents for completing the furnace oil value chain using the local knowledge of the Petroleum Industry Research Institute in Bandar Abbas Oil Refinery, which was held this morning (March 15), pointed to the antiquity of the industry trust in the Petroleum Industry Research Institute:Our first step in trusting the Petroleum Industry Research Institute was related to the isomerization unit of Imam Khomeini  Shazand Refinery, which was transferred to this research institute after the pilot and was completed.

Salari added: in the coking project of Bandar Abbas refinery, it has reached the commercial stage from the pilot stage, and it is hoped that this will be achieved by the research institute.

Referring to the importance of the national plan to improve the quality of heavy petroleum products, he said: "The share of heavy crude oil in production has been significant."
Therefore, in terms of environment and increasing value added, the plan to improve the quality of heavy petroleum products seems to be very important.


In another part of his remarks, Salari emphasized: in the transfer of refineries, a business attitude should prevail and the resources obtained from these transfers should be spent on the development of refineries

He also said: "In terms of industrial technology knowledge, it should reach a position that can have an effective presence in the international arena."
