Deputy Petroleum Minister Calls for Change of Oil Transfer Route

TEHRAN(2016. June6)- Deputy Petroleum Minister and Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company Abbas Kazemi called for change of oil transfer route in order to facilitate export.

Construction of oil transfer pipelines in border areas including the border with Iraq and Afghanistan will increase security in border areas and will decrease smuggling, he added.
Kazemi expressed his regret about halt of construction of Abadan-Basra pipeline for transfer of oil products to Iraq.
We are studying export of oil products abroad through Kharg and Jask islands.
Till the next Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2017), Iran will become sustainable exporter of all types of oil products.
Iran aims to add gasoline to the list of its exports and by completion of construction of the Persian Gulf Star and Bandar Abbas Oil Refineries, Iran will become an exporter of this oil product.
