Iran Eyes 40 ml/d Euro-5 Petrol Output at Major Refinery

TEHRAN (NIORDC) - The production Euro-5 petrol at Bandar Abbas Gas Condensate Refinery-aka Persian Gulf Star Refinery, will exceed 40 million liters per day within the next month, the plant"s CEO said.
Mohammad Ali Dadvar said the facility was currently supplying a daily average of 30 ml/d of Euro-5 petrol.
The official adding that the item"s output would be more than 40 ml/d within a month at the major condensate refinery, located in the southern province of Hormozgan.
Currently, two phases of the plant are operational and the third phase is about to be launched in the near future. The installed capacity of each phase of the facility is 120,000 b/d of gas condensates.
Mr. Dadvar also announced daily production of 12 million liters of Euro-4 diesel fuel and 1,200 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at the refinery, adding that the amount of gasoil produced at the refinery would reach 14 to 16 million liters by the end of this calendar year to March 20 2019.
Construction of the 4th phase of the plant, the world"s largest gas condensate refining plants, has begun be domestic experts and labor.
The phase is being developed for production of Euro-5 petrol and gasoil. It is mainly fed by gas condensates that is recovered from various phases of the supergiant South Pars gas field.
Once the refinery operates at full tilt, Iran will have no spare condensate output for exports. South Korea is the biggest buyer of the item from Iran.
