TEHRAN (NIORDC) __ Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company is planning to launch projects aimed at promoting the quality of its output, the refinery"s CEO said.
Hashem Namvar said the projects to enhance the production capacity of the refinery with the aim of preserving and protecting the environment would come on-stream in the near future, adding: "By implementing these projects, the quality of the processed items of this company will be improved at the level of the world"s most up-to-date standards."
He said one of the outcomes of launching the projects would be that 12 million liters of the plant"s petrol output would meet Euro-5 standards and 15 ml of its gasoil Euro-4 qualifications.
Launched in 1997, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company is one of Iran"s 10 refiners that is built in 700 acres of land near Persian Gulf waters and the southern city of Bandar Abbas. The plant accounts for 18 percent of Iran"s oil refining capacity.
