JCPOA Sped up Oil Deals with Euro-firms

TEHRAN, Jan. 29 (NIORDC) - Implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has expedited release of Irans seized equipment in other countries and has made signature of oil deal with European companies easier for the OPEC member, an Iranian energy official said.
Managing Director Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company (IOPTC) Abbasali Jafarinasab said, "Under the sanction years, most constructive and effective relations with foreign companies that presented parts and services were severed with Iran."
However, "after the JCPOA implementation, all these companies indicated willingness to work with us," he said.
"We were able to exploit the expertise of foreign firms for construction and repairing of certain turbines only after the deal came into force," Jafarinasab said.
Since 2016, Iran has released 4 turbines from UAE and the UK which was made possible thanks to the JCPOA implementation, he added.
The official further added that his company has signed an agreement with a British company for installation of an automatic leakage finding system.
The deal has just been signed and will be piloted on some pipelines, he said.
He said some European companies have also indicated readiness to join pigging projects with IOPTC, adding the company may start working with a foreign partner in its Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) project.
