Turkey has no limitation in oil trade with Iran

8/7/2010 11:00:48 PM Ankara, Aug 8, IRNA – Turkey’s Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz said here that there is no limitation for buying Iranian oil products by Turkey and selling Turkeys products to Iran According to the report of Sabah Daily on Saturday, Yildiz was speaking with reporters about buying Iran’s crude oil and selling Turkey’s oil products such as gasoline to Iran. He said that the UN sanctions have not established any prohibition on buying Iran’s crude oil and selling oil products to Iran and Turkey is not obeying additional sanctions against Iran. Yildiz also talked about oil cooperation between Iran and Turkey and said that there is no problem in cooperation process in the field of energy with Iran and existing contracts, including gas contract, are still valid. Replying a question about situation of energy cooperation between the two countries, Yildiz said that there is no problem in this concern. Iran has the third largest gas reserve in the world and our gas contract with Iran which was signed in 1996 still is valid and Turkey is buying up to 10 billion cubic meters of gas from Iran
