TEHRAN, Nov. 12 - Ziba Esmaeili, a veteran energy journalist, has been appointed as head of the public relations office of the National Iranian Oil Products Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC).
NIORDC Managing Director Alireza Sadiqabadi issued a decree on Monday appointing Mrs. Esmaeili as head of the companys public relations, replacing Mohsen Momeni.
Esmaeili began her career in journalism back in 1993 with Salam Daily. She stayed with the newspaper as a journalist for a period of 6 years before she joined the public relations department of the Social Security Organization of Iran as a news expert.
She has also served as a political and parliamentary journalist as well as a member of the editors council at several daily and monthly journals so far.
Moreover, the newly appointed NIORDC PR head, who also happens to be the first woman to take the post at the company, has 8 years of cooperation with Fars New Agencys parliament and economic desk in her resume.
The wife of a martyred journalist, Esmaeili worked as an energy journalist with the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) and chief editor of Safir Tejarat (Trade Ambassador), as well as an anti-poverty activist.
