Zangeneh blames Political tensions for Current oil market Troubles
(Tuesday, June 19, 2018)
TEHRAN (Shana) __ Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh said the current problems in the world oil markets are political tensions created by the US president rather than being rooted in supply -demand imbalance.
Speaking to reporters before leaving Tehran for Vienna on Tuesday to attend the 7th OPEC biennial international seminar and 174th ordinary meeting, the official said: "We believe that Mr. Trump favors higher oil prices in order to support US shale oil growth, but roils OPEC for the growing prices to relieve himself of public pressure."
